CourtReserve Knowledge Base Case Study

Client; CourtReserve
Role: Technical writer
Stack: Monday, Intercom

About the client

CourtReserve is a Florida-based SaaS platform for tennis and pickleball facility management, covering court bookings, memberships, billing, and club administration.

Challenge

CourtReserve needed a knowledge base built from scratch with minimal input. The platform served multiple audiences—club members booking courts and several distinct admin roles managing facilities—each needing different instructions for the same system. Additional complexity came from mobile display variations and third-party integrations like credit card readers.

My approach

Working largely independently, I learned the platform through hands-on testing and structured the knowledge base around its two core audiences: end users and admins. Where needed, I worked with SMEs to clarify billing workflows and third-party product behaviour. I used Monday to track progress and Intercom to build and publish the articles.

Deliverables

Over a 13-month engagement, I wrote 125+ articles for the tennis platform covering the full range of admin and user tasks. The client was satisfied enough with the work to immediately commission a second knowledge base, for pickleball facilities, bringing the total to 180+ articles across both platforms.
